When a race is full, you can join its waiting list: if a place becomes free, the organiser gives it to you, you receive an email and you finalise your entry by paying for it. To cancel an entry, tap the bin in the **Registrations** tab; a paid entry is refunded according to the amount shown in the simulation.

## Join the waiting list

On the event page, a full race shows **Waiting list** instead of the number of places left.

1. Tap the race. The message "A waiting list exists on this test." appears.
2. Fill in the entry form as usual, then save. See [Register for a race](/en/docs/competitor/register/).
3. The confirmation screen says: "You are on the waiting list. You must wait for the organizer to accept your registration to be able to finalize it."

You do not pay anything at this stage.

## Finalise when a place becomes free

When the organiser gives you a place, you receive an email.

1. Open the **Registrations** tab. Your entry shows **On the waiting list - Click to finalize**. Tap this button (or the link in the email).
2. The **Finalize the registration** screen shows the **Event**, the **Race** and the participant.
3. Tap **Finalize the registration**. The entry form opens: check it and save.
4. Pay for the entry: see [Pay for your entry](/en/docs/competitor/payment/). Until it is paid, the **Registrations** tab shows **On the waiting list - You must pay to finalize it!**

No longer want to take part? On the **Finalize the registration** screen, tap **Cancel the registration, I am no more interested**.

> **CAUTION**
If someone has taken the place in the meantime, the screen shows "We are sorry but there is no more slot available, therefore you cannot finalize your registration."

## Withdraw

1. Open the **Registrations** tab.
2. Tap the bin icon to the right of the participant's name. You can also use the bin at the bottom left of the entry form.
3. Confirm with **Yes**.

What happens next depends on payment:

- Unpaid entry: it is cancelled immediately. The **Registration canceled** message confirms it.
- Paid entry: the cancellation screen opens (see below).

## Cancel a paid entry and get a refund

The cancellation screen shows the content of the paid cart: entries, meals, accommodation, options, with their price.

1. Tick the items to cancel ("Check the inscriptions to delete." appears if the cart contains several). Items linked to the same entry are ticked together.
2. Look at the **Simulation**: **Initial amount**, **Refund** and **Remaining**.
3. Tap the save button at the bottom right.
4. The **Registration canceled** message confirms the cancellation.

The amount shown in **Refund** is what you will get back.

> **NOTE**
If the money has already been paid out to the organiser, the screen says: "The amount has already been paid to the organizer, so it is no longer possible to proceed with a refund." In that case, contact the organiser.

## Cancel a meal or accommodation

In the **Registrations** tab, tap the bin next to the meal or accommodation, then confirm. The same rules apply: immediate cancellation if it is unpaid, cancellation screen if it is paid.

## Common problems

**"Can't unregister": "The organizer does not allow online unsubscriptions."** The organiser handles cancellations of paid entries themselves. They may add a message of their own. Contact them.

**"It is no longer possible to unsubscribe because registrations are closed."** After entries close, only the organiser can cancel an entry.

**"Registration in the waiting list was not found"**. The organiser may have deleted it, or you have already finalised it. Check the **Registrations** tab.

**"The pending registration exists, but you are not logged in to an account that can access it."** Log in to the right account (or switch with **Switch account**), then open the link in the email again.
