You set the registration rules in the dashboard, under **Registrations**: opening and closing dates, number of places, waiting list, restrictions by federation or club, and withdrawals. Competitors can only register once the event is published and the registration **Start** date has passed.

## Open the registration settings

1. Open the event dashboard.
2. Under **Event Configuration**, tap **Registrations**.
3. Change the settings, then tap the save button at the bottom right.

## Set the registration dates

Under **Registration opening dates**:

| Field | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| **Start** | Date and time from which registration is possible. |
| **End** | Date and time after which registration is no longer possible. The default time is 23:59. |

> **CAUTION**
After the **End** date, entrants can no longer withdraw either.

## Offer a paper form

Under **Paper form?**, tap **Select file** to upload an entry form. Competitors can download it, fill it in and send it to you.

## Limit the number of places

In the **Limitation** section:

1. Turn on **Limit the number of places**.
2. Enter the **Number of places** for the whole event.
3. If you want to accept entries beyond that, turn on **Use the waiting list**.
4. Choose whether the **Public waiting list?** is visible to everyone. If not, each competitor only sees their own waiting entry.

The waiting list lets competitors keep registering when there are no places left. You then decide who gets the places that free up.

> **TIP**
You can also limit the places of a specific race, or exclude a race from the overall count (for example a kids' race). These settings are in each race. See [Create races and their runs](/en/docs/organizer/races-tests/).

## Restrict who can register

Also in **Limitation**, several switches are available:

| Setting | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| **Limit to dogs of age required by the test** | Dogs below the race's minimum age cannot be entered. |
| **Limit to federations** | Only licence holders of the chosen **Federations** can register. |
| **Limit to clubs** | Only members of the chosen clubs can register. |
| **Prohibit Clubs** | Members of the chosen clubs cannot register. |

For each restriction you turn on, tap the field that appears to choose the federations or clubs.

## Allow withdrawals or not

Under **Unsubscribe**:

- **Allow unsubscriptions** on: entrants can withdraw and get a refund, only during the registration period.
- Off: fill in the **Message for users**. It is shown when a competitor tries to withdraw. For example, ask them to contact you.

For the competitor side, see [Manage your entries](/en/docs/competitor/my-registrations/).

## Races with several dogs and teams

Under **Events with two or more dogs, teams**, the option **Authorized to provide only a cyno-health upon registration** lets competitors upload the team's dog health sheet. They then do not have to enter and select each dog.

You then validate this sheet like any other document. See [Validate entrants' documents](/en/docs/organizer/validate-documents/).

## Common issues

- **Competitors cannot find the registration button**: check that the event is published and that the registration **Start** date has passed.
- **A competitor sees "Forbidden access — Registrations are closed, you can no longer access this page."**: the **End** date has passed. Move it later if you want to reopen registration.
