Canicompet
What is Canicompet?
Canicompet is a web and mobile platform for online registration and management of canicross, bikejoring, canicross walking and sled dog races. Competitors find races and enter them; organizers manage entries, payments, documents, starts and results.
Where is Canicompet used?
Mainly in France, and for races in other European countries. The app is available in 11 languages and race descriptions are translated automatically.
Do I need a federation licence?
Not to use Canicompet. Each race sets its own conditions (licence, day licence, medical certificate) depending on the organizing federation.
Is there a mobile app?
Yes, on the App Store and Google Play. Everything also works in the browser at canicompet.com.
Competitors
How do I enter a canicross race?
Create a Canicompet account, add your dog and documents, open the race page from the calendar, choose the race and pay. Your entry is complete once the organizer has approved your documents.
Which documents do I need to race with my dog?
It depends on the race: usually a licence or a medical certificate (or health questionnaire) for the runner, and microchip identification and up-to-date vaccinations for the dog. Each race page lists the required documents and vaccines.
What if the race is full?
If the organizer enabled it, join the waiting list: a freed place is offered to you and you are notified to complete your entry.
Can I get a refund if I can no longer come?
You can withdraw from your registrations; Canicompet shows the planned refund according to the race rules before you confirm.
Organizers
How much does Canicompet cost organizers?
No subscription. Only online payments carry fees: €0.75 per cart up to €15, 5% above, included in your prices or added for the competitor.
How is entry money paid out?
By bank transfer to the organizer’s IBAN within 7 days after the race.
Can I run a race without online entries?
Yes: you can just add it to the calendar, or take entries on Canicompet with cheque, cash or on-site payment, free of charge.
How can I time a canicross race without equipment?
With the free Canichrono software in manual mode: a computer is enough, times are taken at the finish and matched to bibs, then results are published on Canicompet.
Can dog vaccinations be checked before the race?
Yes. Competitors upload their dog’s documents and the organizer approves or rejects them online, before race day.
