Install the mobile app or use the web version

You can use Canicompet in two ways: with the free mobile app (iPhone and Android) or directly in a web browser at canicompet.com. Your account, dogs, documents and entries are the same in the app and on the web.

  1. Open the App Store on your iPhone.
  2. Go to the Canicompet page on the App Store.
  3. Tap the install button, then open the app.
  4. Log in with your account, or create one: see Create an account.
  1. Open the Google Play Store on your phone.
  2. Go to the Canicompet page on Google Play.
  3. Tap the install button, then open the app.
  4. Log in or create your account.

Open https://canicompet.com in your browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. You do not need to install anything.

If you open the site in a phone browser, the menu shows a Download the Canicompet app link that takes you straight to the right store (App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android).

The tab bar at the bottom of the screen gives access to the main sections:

  • Calendar: the map and list of events. See Find a race.
  • Registrations: your current and past entries. See Track your entries.
  • Dogs: your dogs and their vaccinations. See Add a dog.
  • Profile: your details, licences, medical certificates, orders and notifications.
  • Event: publish an event (for organisers only).

The menu (icon at the top left) also offers Log in, Create account, Calendar, Results and Logout.

The app can send notifications to your phone: when entries open for an event, when results are published, and when there are new discussions about an event. On the web, these notifications come through your browser.

When the app needs them, it shows a Notifications message warning you that your phone (or browser) is about to ask for permission. Accept it to get live updates on discussions and results.

You then choose what you want to receive (by email or by notification) in Profile > Notifications, or during the setup assistant.

I cannot find my data in the app. Check that you are logged in with the same email address as on the web. If several accounts share your address, the login screen asks you to choose the account. See Log in.

“Too many simultaneous connections”. The server is temporarily limiting requests. Wait a moment (the message sometimes gives the number of seconds), then try again.

“Due to a technical error you have been disconnected, please reconnect.” Your session has expired. Log in again from the Login screen.
