Use the dashboard and publish your event

An event’s dashboard groups all its settings and management tools. A newly created event is only visible to its organizers: it becomes visible to the public when you tap Publish it at the top of the dashboard.

  • From the event page: tap the round pencil button at the bottom right. It only appears for the event’s organizers.
  • From the menu: open Publish an event, then tap the event under My future events.

For an event added only to the calendar, only the General Settings section and event deletion are available.

Until it is published, the event is only visible to its organizers. Use this time to review it as competitors will see it:

  1. Open the event page (back button at the bottom left of the dashboard).
  2. Check the name, dates, poster, description, location and list of races.
  3. In the calendar, the event is shown to you with the label Not published.
  4. Go back to the dashboard and fix anything that needs it.
  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. At the top, the banner says “The event is not visible to other people, you have to publish it.”
  3. Tap Publish it.

The banner then says “The event is visible to other people, you can unpublish it.” The event appears in the public calendar.

  1. Open the dashboard.
  2. Tap Unpublish it.

The event is hidden from visitors again. You can publish it again at any time.

Switch a calendar-only event to full management

Section titled “Switch a calendar-only event to full management”

If the event was created with Add only to calendar, the dashboard shows: “The event is simplified in order to be added only to the calendar. If you also want to manage the registrations, you must activate it.”

  1. Tap Activate registrations.
  2. The Event Configuration, Management, Results and Communication sections appear.

If you time with Canichrono, you can publish live results.

  1. Tap Publish live results.
  2. Tap Copy link to view live results.
  3. Share this link with spectators and competitors.

For the timing itself, see the timing documentation.

  1. At the bottom of the dashboard, tap Delete event.
  2. Confirm with Yes.
  • “Forbidden access — Access to this page is prohibited.”: your account is not one of the event’s Managers. Ask an organizer to add you in General.
  • The pencil button does not appear on the event page: same cause. You are not an organizer of this event, or you are not signed in to the right account.
