How service fees are calculated
Canicompet only charges fees on online payments: €0.75 for a payment of €15 or less, and 5% above that. Depending on your choice, these fees are either included in the entry price and taken from what you receive, or added to the amount the competitor pays.
What is charged
Section titled “What is charged”- Only online card payments carry fees. Entries paid by check, in cash or on site have none.
- No subscription and no fixed fees: creating an event, managing entries and using Canichrono manually are free.
- Fees are calculated on each payment, that is on the total amount of the cart paid in one go (one or more entries, meals, accommodation), not entry by entry.
The app sums up the rule like this: “The costs are € 0.75 for the amounts <= € 15 and 5% for the others.”
Fees included or added

Exact formula
Section titled “Exact formula”Let M be the cart amount, before fees.
Fees included (Offered by the organizer)
- if M ≤ €15: fees = €0.75
- if M > €15: fees = 5% × M
Fees added (Paid by the competitor)
- if M ≤ €14.75: fees = €0.75, and the competitor pays M + €0.75
- if M > €14.75: the fees are 5% of the total amount paid, fees included. So they are about M × 5 / 95, rounded up to the next cent.
The €14.75 threshold matches a total paid of €15.50. Above it, the percentage applies.
